PLANIT JADE is the collaborative musical project between Jesse Jenkins & Jeremy Garner.
The two met in dreams and online in 2013 and became close friends right away.
With Jesse's prophetic and poetic lyrical abilities, it did not take long to inspire Jeremy's melodies to accompany the words, and before long they had a vast collection of collaborative productions.
Originally in 2014, Jesse would occasionally offer words or melodies from the dream realms to Jeremy who at the time was working on his "Rekindled" album and which featured two of these collaborations, namely "Visions From the Muse" (the melody and lyrics of which were given to Jesse in a dream), and "Chymical Reactions" which features some of Jesse's poetic lines right at the end of the song. The last track on the album "Elation Surreal" was also titled by Jesse, as well as being lyrically influenced by some of the poems and words that he had previously released.
Jesse was also an inspiration and guide during the authorship of "The Divine Union" journals, wherein some of his words and insights have been documented.
It was not until early 2015 however when their collaboration rose to the next level with their song: " SPACE SKIMMER". This song which was based on a poem that Jesse wrote, was a turning point for everyone involved, and was the first song to reach over 150, 000 people in a short while through the channel it was uploaded to at the time. Through these views there were connections and friendships made with people all over the world, some who had found the song in their dreams.
This song was the beginning of many more magical collaborations to follow including an album which is no longer available in its original form (as it was re-released as a new version without the same songs), though the second version did still include such funk-packed jams as " Splash Utopia" which features blazing guitar solos, and the deeply seductive and dancing synth driven melodies of " Death Appearing Like an Orgasm".
In 2016, Jesse then traveled to New Zealand to meet with Jeremy for the first time, where they were also blessed to see Prince while playing his shows in Auckland, after he had decided to perform in New Zealand for the first time in his career, just days after Jesse had arrived.
While in New Zealand, Jesse created his insightful and enchanting film: " Characters in the Wind" which captures some of the many beautiful moments that were shared in New Zealand. It contains poetry, humor, slice of life moments, and various deeper revelations of experiences upon this earth.
While Jeremy was living in America throughout 2016 - 2018 the two continued to work from afar on music and collaborations, producing songs like " Ultraviolet Bloom" and " Ambiguous Windows" before Jeremy returned to New Zealand in 2018. By the end of 2019 they collaborated on what may be one of the most ambitious pieces so far; the hypnotic, magical, and near-17 min track: " HYPNO-HIGHWAY".
The title of this song came to Jeremy in a dream, and upon relaying it to Jesse, it inspired Jesse to write deeper words into a descriptive poem which then further inspired Jeremy to create the music with the intention to form an entirely hypnotic journey along psychedelic roads and through magical tunnels into the depths of a night of enchantment. Listening with headphones one is swept gradually into a world of mystery, funk, space, and psychedelic colors until lost in a beautiful realm.
On the 7th of December 2020, a compilation was made from some of the best works that the two have collaborated on, into a " 77 MIN SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCE" which takes the listener on a journey through songs made between the years of 2014 - 2020 and then ending the journey on: " HYPNO-HIGHWAY".
